THE ROLE
As the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Senior Specialist, you’re a critical contributor to achieving Kiio’s member engagement and satisfaction goals and driving client renewals. You’ll configure, deliver and maintain complex, automated, end-to-end multi-channel campaigns from ideation through reporting using SFMC. This role is analytic and implementation-focused with a creative approach to strategy and problem-solving. You’ll drive personalization across channels, track key metrics on an ongoing basis, derive insights from results and share recommendations with the broader team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Configure & Execute Campaigns (70% FTE)
• Manage and execute all aspects of delivering member campaigns: Create project plans; organize the campaign calendar; configure, deploy and manage campaigns to meet deadlines and milestones; and, provide timely updates on project status.
• Partner with Client Success, Product and other colleagues to understand business needs and campaign goals, and identify campaign themes, copy, content, and incentives.
• Pull targeted lists, manage audience and list segmentation, and complete any other data requirements for campaign execution.
• Proofread campaign content for clarity, spelling, and grammar to ensure message is conveyed clearly and matches Client expectations.
• Test and optimize campaign emails, including sharing test emails with Marketing and Customer Success and ensuring full stakeholder alignment prior to going into production.
• Complete QA and process checks to ensure error-free deployments.
• Troubleshoot issues (e.g., ensure emails, forms, and assets are rendering across devices and email clients, data alignment, etc.).
• Monitor and minimize unsubscribe/bounce/complaint rates and ensure spam regulation compliance.
• Track key performance indicators, develop and deliver reports and dashboards, derive insights from results, and recommend enhancements to email performance and member engagement.
• Handle requests for special reports, data, and campaign tracking information.
Advance Kiio’s Email Marketing (20% FTE)
• Design testing strategies for improving campaigns’ effectiveness, pilot your ideas in market, measure their impact, and roll-out when successful.
• Develop standard content modules create a unified member experience and scalability.
• Define and maintain email and SMS standards, including opt-in/out processes, email size, HTML/CSS format, scripting, adherence to brand guidelines etc.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and governance across SFMC and that all communications comply with privacy and security policies and applicable regulations.
• Document campaign and processes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency of campaign production, and roll-out initiatives to streamline email marketing.
Serve as an Email Marketing / SFMC Expert (10% FTE)
• Act as marketing platform expert and provide SFMC support and training to Marketing, Client Success and other teams as needed.
• Proactively research and recommend implementation of new features made available with each SFMC Release.
• Stay current on email marketing industry benchmarks, emerging trends and best practices (e.g., coding, design, testing, add-on applications, new technologies) and propose opportunities to integrate to improve email marketing flexibility and scalability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (To be considered for this role you must have the following)
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience & Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, digital marketing and/or marketing automation, including campaign set-up, nurture methodology, and funnel metrics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a SFMC power user, including mastery of Studios (e.g., Email, Mobile, Automation and Interaction) and Builders (e.g., Content, Journey, Audience, Personalization and Analytics)
• Highly data-centric: Know how to read and understand data; query and manipulate data; track, analyze and report campaign results and KPIs; and develop a plan of action
• Experience creating dashboards and standard reporting for colleagues, management and clients
• Experience using HTML/CSS to update or enhance marketing campaigns and content
• Experience using AMPscript to enable lookup and personalization within SFMC emails
• Experience with SFMC Platform API/Data feed integration
• Knowledge of SQL to query databases and build audiences
• Knowledge of JavaScript to update or enhance marketing campaigns and content
• Basic understanding of CAN-SPAM and other email compliance regulations
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and stay organized
• Cross-functional collaborator who will work across time zones to support teams

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Your resume will stand out if you have the following)
• Successfully completed SFMC Email Specialist and Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification
• Experience building multi-channel SFMC journeys, including email, SMS and print, and phone
• Experience managing contact communication preferences and subscriptions, including suppression and publication lists
• Experience with mobile push messaging and driving personalized messaging via SMS
• Experience with HubSpot or other enterprise-class marketing automation platforms
• Experience working in the healthcare industry
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Electronic Public Health Information (ePHI) compliance policies
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint-based project delivery
• Technical expertise and experience in web development
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Strong copyediting abilities
• Experience working Project Management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Trello, Basecamp, Asana)
• Ability to think beyond what’s been done, and into what’s possible
