Vodafone Business Sales Operations is a pivotal business function which sits within Vodafone Business Commercial & Operations. Its mission is to maximise sales impact through intelligence and zero touch operations. Sales Operations does this successfully by organising its teams under functional pillars. We start by understanding our sales strategy and how Vodafone need to differentiate to compete and win. We then implement the tools and platforms which align to delivering the strategy, allowing us to capture the right data, which is tracked and digitally published to enable strategic insights. Tracking this allows us to know what to pay our teams through our world class commission scheme. All of this is delivered into our regions via our regional sales operations teams.
Senior Manager Platforms is a critical role for the success of Vodafone Business and is responsible for leading our core sales platforms on a global basis.
Within a complex, global business this role comprehends key business requirements and articulates a compelling, creative and forward looking strategy that puts into the hands of our sales professionals the most effective, state of the art sales tools available
This is a very visible and high impact role. As well as being an inspiring leader to a large, dedicated and skilled direct team, you should have the capability of articulating complex issues at the C-Level.
You will need to be able to collaborate well with both internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers such as Salesforce, as well as being able to logically prioritize between competing business demands.
As the platform owner, this role leads sales communications in relation to the platform and works proactively with Vodafone IT to minimize outages.
A key part of the role is the ability to comprehend the benefits of new technology (such as AI) and the vision to understand where and how they can quickly add value in a sales environment

Responsibilities
- Platform strategy. Creative and forward looking roadmap for sales success
- Sales, Commercial and Pricing productivity tools - deliver tools to facilitate stakeholders to manage their end-to-end processes with a focus on user-experience and data-quality
- Group/OpCo consistency. Foster a systems development and adoption path to create convergence of tools and architecture across Group and OpCos
- Work with market leads and group business owners to shape & prioritise demand into transformation roadmaps
- Monitor and measure end to end performance of the capability across IT & Supplier landscapes
- Drive good Data Quality principles and practise across all markets
- Excellent communication skills – able to convey understanding and earn respect across Vodafone Enterprise.
- Strong decision making skills – able to identify key business issues and balance conflicting interests
- Strong understanding and knowledge of sales platforms (e.g. Salesforce.com), and managing the development & support environments (inc budgets)
- Experience in managing offshore functions, people and teams
- Experience in management and organisation of large system administration and complex global user base
- Excellent analytical skills – able to analyse information and articulate the results to key stakeholders within short timeframes
