3.4| ||Full-time|11 hours ago| Full Job Description Description The SalesForce Platform System Administrator supports the development, enhancements, maintenance and operations of the SalesForce platform and its interoperability with other complex applications that support the Health Systems Quality Assurance (HSQA) division. The HSQA systems have a direct impact on the public health and safety of the State of Washington’s health care professions such as doctors, nurses and pharmacists. These systems are used by the public and local health departments, other agencies and health facilities and is the agency’s mission critical system for disaster recovery for licensing professionals and health care facilities in a natural disaster or public health emergency. Some of these systems are online applications, online renewals, medical profession and facility searches that supports the licenses over 350 credential types (individual licenses, organization licenses, construction review projects, training program and school approvals), 420,000 credential renewals and 98,000 new applications annually. This recruitment is for a full-time permanent journey level IT System Administrator within the Health Technology Solutions (HTS), Office of Solution Design & Project Support (SDPS). HTS is the central organization within the Department of Health (DOH) that serves the Information Technology (IT) needs of almost 1,800 employees and 400 IT systems. DOH has four program divisions – Environmental Public Health, Disease Control and Health Statistics, Health Systems Quality Assurance (HSQA), Prevention and Community Health – plus agency central administration. HTS is led by the DOH Chief Information Officer (CIO) who reports to the Chief of Staff. SDPS is one of four major offices within HTS consisting of a team of IT Business Liaisons, a Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Services Section (BSS). The BSS connects agency programs with IT solutions through the work of System Administrators who configure applications, business analysts who identify requirements and testers who validate those requirements are met. Important Note: Pursuant to the Governor’s Directive, 20-08, this position will be subject to one furlough day per month beginning August 1, 2020, through November 30, 2020. Duties include providing: System configuration and administration or operation support services. Technical knowledge and consultation to other administrators and IT professionals. Technical and organizational leadership regarding the critical SalesForce server systems and its administration. Assistance in the development of software contracts, service level agreements, maintenance agreements, and/or service contracts. Security and data management. Required Qualifications Option 1: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology program or a closely related field (engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.); and four (4) years of progressive professional experience in one or more IT disciplines**. OR Option 2: An Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology program or a closely related field (engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.); and six (6) years of progressive professional experience in one or more IT disciplines**. OR Options 3: Eight (8) years of progressive professional experience in one or more IT disciplines**. **Applicable IT disciplines include: Application Development, Application Administration, Configuration Management, Systems/Server Management, Data Administration, IT Security, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System Administration. AND One (1) or more combined years of recent professional experience working with configuring/administering Commercial off the Shelf systems or configuring/administering content management systems, such as SalesForce, ECM or ServiceNow. Demonstrated experience in the following: o Implementing, managing or configuring Commercial off the Shelf web based applications. o Preparing documentation including internal technical documents such as system diagrams, test cases, and user documentation and manuals. o Translating complex technical issues into readily understood concepts for staff, management, and the public. o Configuration/change management and data analysis.
