JOB SUMMARY
The Salesforce Quality Assurance Analyst will deliver high quality software through the execution of QA processes and development standards and will contribute to QA automation and the Salesforce SDLC, to deliver applications and features that meet evolving business requirements.
What will I be doing in this job?
- Leading the testing cycle from planning to delivery by creating and managing QA domain and processes to enhance the SDLC, influence the behavior for all QA matters in the team, specifically around Test Driven Development (TDD), to ensure in-depth functional testing
- Representing the Testing Team by working closely with product owners, Salesforce Developers, Administrators, and Business Analysts on QA planning, testing, coordination of release activities, troubleshooting and resolving issues, discussing test results, participating in triage, service restoration, and root cause resolution meetings
- Communicating any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption
- Proactively driving quality improvement and ensuring functional understanding by the QA team members to continuously improve test cases and to better prioritize the various testing activities
- Reviewing, understanding, researching, analyzing, and proofreading the business requirements and technical designs related to the software to define testing needs and approach in order to create extensive, detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases which includes maintaining and automating test cases, test data, test scripts, test results, and test reports
- Performing hands-on testing, non-functional testing, functional testing, unit testing, process testing, manual testing, automated testing, load testing, end-to-end testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing, deployment testing, ad-hoc testing, and security testing of application. This includes the creation, configuring, and setting up of data to perform testing
- Gaining extensive knowledge of the platform to gain the understanding of its functionality, system components and process workflows, and how they interact with one another
What does this job require?
- General working knowledge of quality assurance and testing tools and processes
- General working knowledge of software development processes including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
- General working knowledge of business applications
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development
- General working knowledge of basic programming to develop automation scripts is required
- Understanding of negative and positive use case testing
- Force.com, Apex Data Loader, Windows 10, Salesforce Platform, Apex, Visualforce (Pages, Component & Controllers) Pages, Data Loader, HTML, Workflow & Approvals, Reports, Java/J2EE, Web Services.
- Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent communication, articulation, and client-facing skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Desire to improve QA process and create new processes where gaps are identified
- A high degree of skill in troubleshooting, characterizing, and describing software defects

- Strong capabilities performing independently and as part of a cross-functional, team in a fast paced environment

Qualifications?
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Science, or Engineering field.
- 2-5 years exp. manual/functional/automation testing high performing web based business focused applications and systems with preference given to candidates with at least 2 years of exp. in working with Salesforce, writing and executing test plans for a high quality delivery.
Licenses and Certifications?
Driving is required for State Business.
- Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).
