Job Summary:

Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) division is a newly formed technology epicenter which combines Disney’s tradition of bold innovation and creativity to directly deliver compelling content to hundreds of millions of people all around the world. Comprised of Disney’s international media businesses and the Company’s various streaming services, the DTCI segment aligns technology, content, and distribution platforms to expand the Company’s global footprint and deliver world-class, personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world. Our employees are leading, creating, innovating, and making bold moves in unexpected directions that redefine not just what a mass media entertainment company does, but what it can do.

Within DTCI, the Advertising Platforms team is responsible for creating and scaling innovative global advertising solutions by building mission-critical tools and workflows to support digital & linear ad sales, traffic, marketing and parts of broadcast operations. Being part of the DTCI team is a once-in-a-career opportunity to be a part of what’s next.

This role is a part of the Salesforce Software Engineering team within the DTCI Advertising Platforms organization. We strive to be a diverse team, passionate about great technology applied creatively to solve complex business problems. We are a motivated team that is committed to lifelong learning and improving, both in and out of the office. We strive to be adaptable to change both in how we execute projects and in the technologies we use to deliver our solutions. We care about the details because every pixel, every line of code, and every user interaction with our products determines whether we are delivering on our commitment to producing the very best products possible. You’ll be joining a talented team that works interdependently toward aggressive goals to deliver technically sound solutions. We work to ensure that we share both accountability and credit as a team. We often include our users as part of our team and we work to connect with them on a human level, understanding their world, so we can deliver software that they love to use.

Responsibilities:

As a Salesforce Software Engineer, you will use your deep Apex, Lightning Web Component, OOP, Salesforce configuration and data management abilities to write and test code that delivers new features for our Salesforce Application. You will be an important part of a motivated team where we’ll be looking for you to collaborate with the team to drive application architecture, code quality, and make sure we are building the right things for our users. We want someone that has grown up through the web software development ranks and has development credentials beyond Salesforce - possessing 5 or more years’ experience, with at least 2 years on the Salesforce platform, in building highly scalable, secure, performant, and usable web applications using any means Salesforce provides us, whether completely custom, completely OOTB, or some combination of the two. The ideal candidate would possess deep abilities in server side Salesforce development (Apex, RESTful Web Services, SOQL, SOSL, etc), no code development (Flows, Formulas, Process Builder, Reports, and so on) and front end technologies while also having the ability to interface directly with users and stakeholders.

While The Walt Disney Company is a large company, ideally, we’d like if you have some previous experience in a U.S. startup environment and be comfortable performing multiple roles. We strive to get things done quickly, with high quality, and we are committed to the agile methodology. Our work is guided by lean principles (looking at value and looking for waste; not doing anything ‘for the sake of doing it’).

We’re looking for a passionate, impactful, technical leader who wants to come here to do their very best work and make their mark, add their chapter to the long and storied history of The Walt Disney Company. Someone who holds themselves and their teammates accountable in a respectful, professional, collaborative manner. A collaborative technologist who seeks to bring the best out in themselves and those around them. Someone who can provide a fresh perspective and innovative insight to our initiatives.

  • Designing and implementing custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex

  • In depth understand of the Salesforce Security, Record Ownership and Visibility models
