Job Description:
The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is seeking Software Developer with strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States.
In this hands on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverable of projects through all aspects of the software development life cycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.
In this role, you will lead an Agile development team in order to successfully support all programs with the design, creation, maintenance, and testing of Salesforce applications. As the Technical Lead, you will also provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentor ship. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and a highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated experience to successfully lead a development team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Execute declarative Salesforce application configuration
- Use Apex, Visual force, and the Lightning Component Framework to create unique customer-based solutions
- Ability to lead and mentor other junior developer team members
- Interact directly with our customers and the Acumen team, including consultants, architects and sales to ensure customer success
- Participate in the full application life cycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment
- Build salesforce.com product extensions using Visual force technology
- Develop new native products on the force.com platform
- Negotiate with stakeholders (Vendors, Customer, etc.) to generate ideas and clarify specifications.
- Delegate tasks as necessary to the team and maintains accountability for results.
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support ability and effectiveness analyzes
- Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 10 + years of Total IT experience,
- 5+ years of SFDC experience.
- Strong Salesforce skills in the areas of configuration and building custom Salesforce applications using APEX code
- Applicable Salesforce certifications (Admin, App Builder, Developer, Service Cloud)- Prototyping of wire frames using CSS, HMTL, Bootstrap and Visualforce
- Experience in building custom user interfaces that required CSS, HMTL, Bootstrap and Visualforce page development
- Knowledge of/experience with formal delivery methodologies
- Should be certified in Dev 401. 501 certification is a plus.
- Good hands on experience in - SFDC Configuration/Customization, SFDC Administration, Apex/VF Development.
- Should have worked on SFDC integration projects
- Good technical knowledge of APIs and Web Services/SOA
- Exposure to Dot Net and/or Java for more than 2+ years if complete exp is not in SFDC
- Should be able to review technical documentation related to integration and data migration requirements
- Should be able to maintains high quality and on-time delivery of committed work
products - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with DevOps frameworks
- U.S. Citizen
- Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, at minimum

- Force.com, Mulesoft
- Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
- Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems.
- Experienced programmers are also responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release.
