Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect for OIT-Enterprise Application Services. This position is under the direction of a Project Manager/Associate Director for Enterprise Application Services (EAS) and provides technical architecture solutions as well as analytical and programming support for Enrollment Management office and other University administrative and academic offices. This position serves as primary technical architect for the enterprise Salesforce.com environment

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Determines and executes the best way to design, develop and deploy the technical solutions leveraging Salesforce products, tooling, and cloud framework throughout the enterprise.
- Works with stakeholders across the businesses and technology functions to establish a long-term sustainable architecture
- Assists in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization.
- Works with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.
- Coordinates the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
- Manages necessary system upgrades in all Salesforce environments as well as testing all impacted areas and workflows.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technology field, or Business major. Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of five years experience or equivalent designing solutions on Salesforce platform.
- Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other contents.
- Broad knowledge in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Communities and Service Cloud.
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs, APEX, triggers, batch Apex, Lightning application and component design.
- Experience with SOAP, REST, Webservices, XML, JMS, and SOA/Integration technologies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
- Advance degree in Computer Science or related degree is a plus.
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
- Strong data management abilities
- A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
- A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
