Our Mission

At Palo Alto Networks® everything starts and ends with our mission: protecting our way of life in the digital age. It’s inspired by our vision: a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. These aren’t simple statements. They won’t be easy either – but we’re not here for easy. We’re here for better. As a company with a foundation in challenging the way things are done, we’re looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the nature of cybersecurity as we are.

Your Career

This role will involve configuring Salesforce and creating Lightning components using Javascript. The additional scope will include analysis, design, testing, and support for what you build.

As an architect level Salesforce Engineer, you will interface directly with business users and enterprise BSAs to understand business requirements, define solution architecture, create technical specs, design, develop and implement solutions focused on the Salesforce platform.

We are looking for a rock star to work on one of the larger and more complex Salesforce implementations with lots of opportunities to learn new aspects of Salesforce, gain valuable experience, and make a huge impact in a fast-growing company.

You will apply an open communication and collaborative style and lead by example, being both customer-centric and service-minded, able to interact with end-users, executives, analysts, and technical colleagues – creating consensus and clear strategy where appropriate.

Your Impact

  • Engage by providing guidance / scope / solutions to the following: technical team / product manager / analysts.
  • Perform mentorship / code reviews for members on the team
  • Understand, with a high degree of specificity, integration and data migration with the Platform
  • Drive team on major themes to improve stack health (test quality / security / performance / tech debt)
  • Lead technical design sessions, architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives, and identify gaps between client’s current and desired end states.

Your Experience

  • Trailhead Certifications Architect & Developer
  • Minimum of 6 years developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/VF/Lightning).
  • Experience with ServiceCloud integration and data migration projects.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience creating and implementing the technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations (specifically around ServiceCloud).
  • Technology: Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, REST, Javascript, CSS, web design, and UX design
  • Tools: ANT, IDE (Eclipse, VSCode), Jenkins
  • Protocols: HTTP/HTTPS, REST, XML
  • Excellent communication / interpersonal and leadership skills

The Team

The IT Customer Experience Cloud Applications Salesforce team is responsible for building best-in-class support tooling and case management. We are transforming the Customer Support experience at Palo Alto Networks with increased emphasis on self-service, tiered support, advanced channels of support, and using product telemetry and Machine Learning to build a proactive/predictive Support organization.

Our Commitment

We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together. To learn more about our culture and dedication to inclusion and innovation, visit our careers page.
