ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to be responsible for owning the architecture and design of solution components (e.g., integration, security, custom development) on the Salesforce platform.
This role will own reviewing design elements and signing off on the overall technical design, ensuring that the Salesforce system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business. This role must be able to identify and confirm technical design risks, develop mitigating approaches and have experience providing level of effort estimates for the technical portion of solutions.
The ideal candidate must have succeeded in developing and implementing Salesforce solutions, with particular success in leading decentralized development teams through complex technical platform changes. We are looking for candidates who can blend business knowledge and IT/Salesforce experience to become a technical leader working with leadership to drive organizational change.
Primary responsibilities:
- Collaborates with team on technical design and development for major components of Salesforce solutions
- Offers best practice advice and recommendations to stakeholders often extending beyond Salesforce to topics around overall systems architecture and CRM/CPQ strategy
- Leads technical requirements gathering and/or design workshops for complex projects
- Provides overall Salesforce technical expertise and systems architecture expertise in order to relate to and build upon existing environments
- Architects creative solutions that solve our business' and technical problems using the Salesforce platform
- Leads and facilitates project discovery to define business, functional, and technical requirements
- Defines business processes using CRM/CPQ & SFDC best practices
- Develops data integration, migration and deployment strategies
- Builds & Deploys Salesforce solutions
- Lead Proof of Concepts and technical solution efforts
- Manages and mentors junior team members
- Works with clients to understand their needs, provide meaningful solutions and build strong relationships
- College degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Salesforce certifications, preferably "Salesforce Certified Application Architect"
- 5+ years of experience in Salesforce (SFDC) CRM/CPQ with end to end implementation
- Experience working with Salesforce/ERP integrations, RESTful web services and Dell Boomi
- Deep understanding of SFDC concepts and practices. Able to identify the need and recommend the use of Salesforce features and modules to meet a business requirement
- Proficiency in programming using Salesforce SFDC, Force.com, Java, JavaScript, and XML and their use in the development of CRM/CPQ solutions
- Demonstrated experience in understanding complex business processes and ability to apply scenarios to Salesforce as well as make business process modification suggestions to align with Salesforce best practices
- Strong technical writing skills. The ability to take a lead role in developing comprehensive solution design documents, application architecture, integration architecture, and deployment documentation
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; executive level presence and experience facilitating meetings
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical business users from various backgrounds including sales, support, marketing, customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
