Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ Months contract

What we’ll expect from you. We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect who plans

and implements large-scale software and platform deployments in the cloud, including

new applications and migration of existing applications. In this role, you will support

clients in their efforts to build and automate cloud infrastructure, and drive architectural

direction and standards.

● Collaborate to understand how all systems interact and client cloud architectural

needs

● Help guide the strategic direction of infrastructure and application architectures and

gain buy-in with senior executives

● Oversee the engagement to ensure architectures are implemented, assuming

accountability for on-time, on-budget, on-quality delivery

Qualifications

● Experience collaborating with stakeholders to deliver architectural solutions

● Strong working knowledge of public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure,

GCP

● Strong working knowledge of modern scripting or programming languages such

As Python or Go

● Extensive experience with administering and deploying to cloud-based

environments

○ Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems and administration

○ Experience with HTTP request/response flow and REST APIs

○ Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, security, and high availability

○ Experience with containerization and virtualization platforms, as well as

container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

● Broad architectural knowledge of how cloud infrastructure comes together with

a rounded appreciation of technologies and approaches

○ Experience with distributed or microservices architecture, and event-driven

architecture

○ Experience implementing enterprise applications at scale, including N-tier or

multi-platform applications

○ Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

● Experience with creating automated pipelines and workflows

○ Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible

○ Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tools

such as Jenkins

○ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud provisioning tools such as

Terraform

● Experience building and packaging images and containers using tools such as

Packer

● Experience with development lifecycle tools

○ Strong working knowledge of version control systems such as Git

○ Experience with issue tracking and ticketing systems

○ Highly comfortable with command line shells

○ Familiar with diagramming and flowcharting tools

● Familiarity with SDLC Methods

○ Agile, Lean, Scrum and Kanban Methodologies

○ Agile product and portfolio management

● Ability and willingness to mentor others

● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
