3.5| ||Full-time|4 hours ago| Full Job Description Job Summary The Senior DevOps Engineer, Salesforce - is a vital part of the technology delivery team responsible for supporting and growing eMoney’s back-office Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) platform. As Salesforce is the heart of our back-office eco-system, your primary role (75%) will be as part of an agile project team responsible for designing and executing delivery of custom Salesforce solutions that are uniquely tailored to support eMoney’s back-office operations. This role will interact closely with a product management team, and other Salesforce professionals (analysts, developers, QA/Testers). The Senior DevOps/InfoSys Engineer is ultimately responsible for the deployment of all software releases, the care and maintenance of all Salesforce environments (sandboxes) as well as executing on the CIBTD (Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment) framework used by the team. Secondarily (25%), this individual will also be responsible for the operations/administration of other select tools/systems/environments that are part of the Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) platform. Job Responsibilities Work closely with developers/engineers and the Salesforce Development Manager to ensure that the IS&T delivery team is carefully planning, testing and releasing software in a manner which supports test automation, deployment automation and a regular deployment cadence. Lead, advocate and enforce solid CIBTD (Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment) best practices within our Salesforce environment. Technical oversight of the automated CI tool (Copado) used by our development/engineering team Technical ownership for all SF Security Alerts and all installed packages across our SF environments. Manage all Salesforce environments (new and existing), carefully plan environment refreshes and manage all Salesforce access inside eMoney thru our SSO platform. Regularly maintain and update archived branches of all Salesforce environments. Develop a deep contextual system-level understanding (connections, dependencies, integrations) for all tools/systems/environments that are owned/supported by the Information Systems & Technology team. Promptly identify and communicate operational concerns around the installation, integration or usage of new or existing tools/systems within the IS&T platform. Requirements BS in Computer Science or related field required 7-10 years of cumulative and progressive experience in any of the following areas: {desktop support, MIS engineering, release management, software version control, database administration, software development, DevOps } Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certification (Required) Salesforce Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer Certification (Strongly recommended) 3-5 years’ experience administering or managing deployments on the Salesforce platform (Enterprise edition or higher), preferably in a large multi-dimensional organization. Willingness (at times) to work off hours (evening and occasionally weekends to support deployments) Excellent writing skills with ability to express strategy, technical knowledge and processes in an easily understood presentation Independent worker, self-starter, and a strong drive for continuous self-improvement Passionate about Salesforce - but also exhibits an equally strong desire to work on the larger “enterprise-level” Technical Skills Needed Knowledge of software and systems development life cycle models Experience deploying custom code and configurations across a Salesforce platform ecosystem (production and sandboxes) Solid understanding of tools and best practices for Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment [Ant/Git/SourceTree/TeamCity/Jenkins] Deep knowledge of the Salesforce Meta Data API and Salesforce release management techniques Experience working the Copado DevOps Platform is a major plus! Hands on experience with SQL, ETL Tools, AWS, Unix/Linux environments Repeated experience (in a leadership role) working with / administering / integration of other MIS platforms
