Job Title: -Sr. Java Developer

Job Location: - SF Bay Area, hybrid 

Job Type: -Long Term Contract 

Sr. Java Developer is responsible for developing services and APIs in the microservices architecture to support the client’s eCommerce team. The client has AWS as their hosting platform with spring boot for their backend framework and react.js for their front end. The Sr. Developer with work with various stakeholders to understand the requirements, develop and maintain services, and enhance existing services.  

Position Responsibilities: 

• Quickly ramp-up on clients’ infrastructure and the environment by collaborating with other engineers and leads 
• Review detailed requirements, existing codebase, and work with the project and product managers to determine the development priorities 
• Write APIs and services with the companies’ development framework and deploy to higher environments  
• Work with QA and business owners for bug fixes 
• Monitors all business operations functions in the system and manages issues to resolution, delivering business continuity to the enterprise 
• Build structured code to meet functional requirements 
• Unit test for functional requirements and configuration 
• Builds and maintains Implementation, Rollback, and Testing documents to ensure complete and standardized development and change control 
• Peer Reviews code for standards and project requirements for team members 
• Work with teams in different geographies and time zones. 

Skills Required:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent training and/or relevant experience is required. 
• 8 + years of Hand-on Experience in Core Java and JavaEE platform with Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Multithreading, Spring MVC, Spring Boot 
• Hands-on development Experience with the Serverless and/or microservices architecture  
• Good Knowledge of Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Continuous Integration with orchestration tools. 
• Integrate platform to external APIs and interfaces. 
• Experience in creating scalable object-oriented RESTful web services and applications  
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Gracefully handles stress and finds strength in appropriate change 
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently 
• Positive attitude with an enthusiastic, can-do outlook
