Position Description

The Senior Reporting Analyst develops and drives provider performance improvement strategies, medical cost containment programs, and special projects that directly impact the operational and financial performance of network management using strong reporting, analytical skills, and influencing skills. This person may analyze medical utilization rates of specific providers and/or across physician, hospital, and ancillary service lines. They may also provide technical and analytical support to field markets to assist in the development of sophisticated and complex analysis of network utilization.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee development of network performance improvement strategies and identify additional providers in order to meet contractual obligations
  • Guide special projects that directly impact the operational and financial performance of network
  • Ensure accurate analysis across physician, hospital, and ancillary service lines or individual providers
  • Provide feedback to leadership on identified trends in development of the network
  • Identify data enhancement opportunities in network reporting
  • Utilizes provider data to measure and monitor the accuracy, adequacy, and accessibility of provider networks
  • Provides expertise in geocoding and using Quest Analytics software to produce reports related to network adequacy and accessibility
  • Designs and develops network accessibility reports in Quest Analytics software packages

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of analytically focused experience consulting with, or working within, a managed care organization or health insurer
  • 2+ years of experience with network analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access
  • Quest Analytics software or Tableau experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post graduate degree
  • Experience in a network development / contract management, network evaluation, and/or underwriting role
  • Project management and/or database management experience
  • Management experience with significantly increased levels of responsibility in leadership roles
