seeking a Salesforce CPQ Lead Developer Architect to work at their client in San Ramon, CA. The lead is responsible for the CPQ development and administration of Salesforce.com; this includes system configuration, (maintenance, system enhancements/upgrades, etc.), creation of reports and dashboards, data integrations, ensuring data hygiene and integrity. This role collaborates with functional leaders to identify, define, and implement changes and enhancements to meet business requirements in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical, analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. We are seeking a self-motivated & team-oriented professional, with a bias towards action, who can recognize and make process improvement recommendations and identify new and creative opportunities to leverage Salesforce.com and its database to support additional business processes or functions.

Will be working closely with Business and IT Go-To-Market team members to detail and ensure product solutions support business needs, follow strong architectural principles, use system resources efficiently and

integrate cleanly with the UI and server components of Salesforce CPQ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical design and implementation of Quote to Cash solutions using
• Salesforce CPQ and billing
• Create proof of concepts (POCs) and build prototypes quickly to
• evaluate the mapping of custom CPQ functionality to Salesforce CPQ
• Design application architecture solutions that span multiple Salesforce

Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Analytics, Social, Communities) that meet business requirements

• Be recognized as a technical & functional specialist in CPQ
• Optimization of solutions through an understanding of business needs
• and technology capabilities
• Pro-actively identify opportunities for automation, process & design improvements
• Serve as a solution architect to ensure deliverables for Salesforce.com projects are done in line with best practices and strategic platform direction
• Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including technical and functional capabilities; ability to execute on highly complex or specialized projects.
• Oversight of multiple vendors involved with Salesforce configuration and development work
• Participate in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data governance, including master data management, metadata management, data quality and data profiling
• Communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams including
• business teams, product teams, global IT Apps teams, consultants & vendors
• Document as-is and to-be architecture solutions. Present complex
• solutions options and benefits to key technical program stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Salesforce technical team to ensure Salesforce
• development teams follow best practices when architecting, programming or
• documenting solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology
• trends and identifies opportunities where technology might be deployed to
• deliver business improvements and competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, or in a related field
• 6 + years of Experience in architecting and designing full stack solutions using Salesforce Platform
• 3 + years of Experience in architecting and designing Salesforce CPQ and Quote to cash
• 3 + years of Experience in designing and developing solutions on Salesforce Lightning Platform
• 2+ full cycle implementations of Salesforce CPQ including ownership of technical solution design
• Extensive knowledge of product configuration, complex pricing rules & sequence, quote configurator plugins & Salesforce CPQ APIs
• Proficiency in various CPQ functionalities like perpetual and subscription-based licensing, seasonal licensing, amendments, extensions, co-terming and renewals
• Solid experience in data migration strategy, tools and processes to migrate data between custom CPQ and billing systems to Salesforce CPQ and billing
• Experience with quote document generation and integration with DocuSign
• Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
