Align Technology, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Technical Architect, Salesforce for our San Jose, CA or Morrisville, NC office. The Sr. Technical Architect, Salesforce is responsible for managing business relations, assisting on projects & enhance the business processes. This position works closely with business users, program managers, development leads, and development teams to deliver the solutions utilizing Salesforce.com and related applications on the Force.com platform In this role, you will… Demonstrate a deep knowledge of all Salesforce product offerings and solutions including Marketing Cloud, Heroku, and Demandware, etc. Build technical roadmap (3-year plan) on Sales, Service & Marketing needs to continuously rationalize the solutions landscape in collaboration with the business Assess the existing landscape of Salesforce architecture and recommend/implement scalable architecture with rapidly growing business demands Design technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms (custom web apps, mobile apps, packaged solutions) and include integration and authentication across multiple platforms Transition the platform to DevOps by leveraging DX Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs effectively to business and technical stakeholders and provide a delivery framework that ensures quality and success. Ensure that technical design processes and add-on products adhere to industry standard best practices and that they integrate efficiently and effectively Guide and support across regional teams by providing technical thought leadership and guide the dev teams to execute on best practices for design & development. Provide governance and best practices/standards supporting the platform adoption and full application lifecycle (design, development, change control, UAT, deployment and support) Drive innovation by creating re-usable components, tools, accelerators as well as driving adoption of new technologies Document current and future state processes and develop technical specifications for projects and enhancements. Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange (such as CPQ, AutoRabit, Surveys, etc.) Negotiate and work with external partners/vendors In this role, you’ll need … Master’s in computer science or Engineering or equivalent work experience 12 years of software engineering experience 5 years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem, must have working experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Force.com Applications 3 years of experience in an enterprise architecture Must have experience with at least one JavaScript framework (Angular, Node.js, etc.) Understanding of common enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman and ArchiMate. Working experience with messaging systems and developing transactional systems Nice to have Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation. Excellent leadership skills. Excellent problem-solving and technical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, program management, and business users about business process, requirements and design constraints. Proven Salesforce.com integration and administrative skills Must have CPQ, Subscription, Renewal business knowledge Experience with ERP and Master data management systems
