Simulation Engineer

Duration: Full time

Location: Auburn Hills MI

Description: Candidate is responsible for and not limited to; develop simulation models based on process layout, reviewing plant machine downtime datasets to ensure accuracy. Validate the system to its designed JPH. Conduct buffer analysis, carrier analysis. Analyze system throughput bottleneck and make design improvement recommendations. Candidate would be working within the company simulation team supporting multiple vehicle programs.Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant field/work experience

Experience:

Experience with Siemens Process Simulate Human and Teamcenter Manufacturing

Strong communication skills to support interaction with both corporate and plant personnel

Understanding of the Automotive Manufacturing/General Assembly Process

Skills/Competencies:

Strong skills with Siemens Process Simulate (PS) and Teamcenter Manufacturing

2D/3D layout experience using Autodesk Tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks)

Strong MS Office/Google suite applications; strong skills in Computer Aided Design CAD

Preferred Qualifications:

Min 1 year of plant and/or launch experience within General Assembly

Min 1 year experience with Process Simulate and Teamcenter Manufacturing software

Strong problem solving skills and results oriented
