What You’ll Be Doing…

The Social Media & Blog Manager is responsible for supporting the production of multimedia content to engage Tableau’s passionate customers, partners, and employees across corporate blog and social media channels. Our corporate blog is at the heart of Tableau’s ongoing conversation with the global market and social media is a channel to engage the community and amplify our brand message. This role will support the delivery of social and community marketing programs, manage social media analytics dashboards, lead channel strategy for demand generation campaigns, drive innovative social concepting, and scale our global owned and organic reach.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include…
  • Lead cross-function editorial meetings.
  • Evaluate pitches and stories from employees, customers, and partners.
  • Create and schedule content for Tableau’s social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Support all social media campaigns for Tier 1 events, launches, and Tableau Conferences.
  • Monitor social media channels, escalating conversations, and reporting on key conversations 
 and emerging themes in business intelligence, data visualization and Tableau.
  • Schedule and track social media posts from across the marketing organization.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports for social media channels, including our powerful stories internal report.
  • Brainstorm and execute on creative ideas for cross-channel social campaigns.
  • Enable and train cross-functional teams to leverage social media.
  • Work closely with the creative team to scale the creation of net new assets and content types for blog and social media.


Who You Are…

A strong communicator. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Domain. Experience with social media across multiple social platforms.
Collaborative. Team player and effective communicator.
Go-getter. Detail-oriented and deadline driven.
Technical. Strong computer skills; proficient with MS Office suite, Excel knowledge a must.
Fundamental knowledge of writing for SEO
Data driven. Experience analyzing data, patterns and trends
Experienced. 6+ years’ experience in Marketing or PR

Educated. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
