As a Salesforce Solution Architect at TCF you will, under general direction, participate in product discovery and devise and/or modify procedures to solve complex application problems, considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. This includes discovery, ideation/design, prototyping, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, deploying, and maintaining those programs. You will be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of application engineering activities.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Work within a product team using Agile methodology to discover, design, configure, and develop custom software
- Provide technical leadership in the analysis, prototyping and review of existing or proposed system features and integrations
- Actively participate in discovery sessions with the product owners and business stakeholders and provide technical and feasibility guidance
- Guide overall systems design to ensure a consistent experience for our user community
- Strategize with the team to determine the best solutions based on the discovery and business requirements working closely with the Product Owners
- Provide expert advice/guidance on complex system design issues and contribute to ongoing planning and development of enhancements
- Research and evaluate any vendor-provided applications or customizations; provide customization and/or development recommendations; and ensure appropriate implementation of solutions as needed
- Define detailed application specifications, standards, flowcharts, and diagrams
- Create, conduct, and manage unit tests and automated tests to ensure that code base meets specifications and remains stable
- Generate documentation for all new and modified code changes
- Provide oversight and collaborate with other developers, conduct code reviews to troubleshoot, ensure consistency, and share knowledge across the team
- Use industry best practices and procedures to deploy changes from development to production
- Serve as 3rd Level Support to our user base for ongoing maintenance and production issues.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, following appropriate programming and engineering methodologies and best practices

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
Work Experience/Skills:
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in complex engineering environments, taking abstract concepts and ideas and formulating a detailed software engineering plan to deliver
- 3 to 5 years of Salesforce development (Lightning Components and APEX), Rest APIs and integration
- Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Knowledge of design and programming techniques that provide security
- Ability to debug code to troubleshoot and analyze defects
- Sound understanding of application engineering concepts
- Knowledge/experience with querying databases for data lookup/update
