Overview
Hyland is looking for an experienced Solution Engineer to join our Information Systems team. In this position, you will be responsible for Hyland’s Salesforce platform. Qualified candidates will be knowledgeable in Salesforce administration, will have experience interfacing with business stakeholders, and will thrive on building problem solving solutions for our business partners. What you will be doing
- Perform business analysis in which information about business process and concerns are gathered from key business stakeholders
- Design business applications based on feedback from product management, stakeholders, and customers, in which experience and best practice knowledge is applied
- Ensure all solutions are developed and documented in a manner that allows for ease of maintenance by support team
- Compose documentation outlining requirements for building the business application with oversight from team members
- Present documentation on business analysis and solution requirements to key business stakeholders for validation and approval
- Design, prototype, and build solution and configure with oversight from team members
- Test business applications and ensure performance is as designed; resolve any issues
- Compose training materials and conduct training sessions for end users, with oversight from other team members
- Develop plan for migration; migrate business applications into production environment and support business customer throughout migration process
- Identify enhancements to evolve product functionality; collaborate with team members to define appropriate business need
- Identify third-party product enhancements or defects; contact vendors of third-party products to communicate product enhancements or defects
- Transition key information to application support team to ensure continued successful support of business customer
What will make you successful
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience administering Salesforce, including all declarative functionality
- Experience in business analysis and documenting functional requirements
- Experience configuring and implementing a technical solution
- Experience with assigned business applications
- Apex development preferred, but not required
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
- Good at investigating situations or issues to get relevant information; adept at asking probing questions to successfully obtain quality information
- Good collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately manage project scope, compact project timelines and set customer expectations appropriately
- Able to effectively manage a consistent customer-oriented project workload; effectively communicates project delays to management team and proactively seeks additional customer project work
- Up to 5% travel time required
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
