The Solution Engineer Trainee role is a 3 month contract role at Salesforce and is designed for high potential professionals interested in a Solution Engineering career. In this role you will engage with internal teams to learn how Salesforce can partner with organizations as they invest in digital transformation. As a result, the role will provide the opportunity for you to expand you knowledge on our industry-leading solutions, expand your consultative skills to drive business value and ultimately learn more about the high impact Solution Engineering professionals at Salesforce.

Solution Engineers are passionate problem solvers who thrive in mapping business challenges/requirements to solutions to help customers and prospects confidently partner with Salesforce in achieving their goals. To accomplish this, Solution Engineers possess consultative, technical, business and sales skill sets to uncover business-critical needs, develop a technical sales strategy, and design & present effective solutions that address challenges and deliver business value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be an integral partner aligned to our Solution Engineer teams. Your core responsibilities will be to gain more hands-on experience with our industry-leading solutions and how they support efforts to deliver business impact within our customers. This will involve:
  • Solution use case mapping by understanding the customer' s needs, and determining
which Salesforce solutions would solve customer' s challenges
  • Leading and building visionary demos of Salesforce solutions
  • Delivering internal thought leadership content on industry and solution trends.
  • Responding effectively to training projects
  • Participating in remote workshops to drive customer trust and success
  • Evangelizing Salesforce solutions
  • Build apps using the Salesforce platform (Point and Click)
Requirements:
  • Rhode Island Resident
  • Internet access
  • Unemployed or Underemployed
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Background check required

Successful candidates will have:
  • 1 year of relevant work experience in technology, consulting, sales, or customer success

  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems in varied
Environments
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills and the resourceful ability to take initiative
  • Coachable and enjoys learning in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Curious and interest in technology
  • Working knowledge of core business processes (Sales, Marketing, Service, Support)
  • Experience in a customer service job is a plus (restaurant, retail, sales, etc)
  • Experience with building a website is a plus
  • Experience leading successful presentations, engagements, webinars, and workshops
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
