Job Title: Solution Principal – Salesforce
Slalom is seeking a Salesforce Solution Principal (SP) to help lead and grow our Salt Lake City Salesforce Practice. As a motivated Salesforce SME, you will work closely with the Slalom and client stakeholders to understand requirements and enable the authoring/development of quality solutions that meet the requirements. This leader is responsible for excellent client delivery, contributing to and/or leading new business pursuits, proposals, recruiting, asset development, sophisticated solutioning and knowledge management.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver as an individual contributor, but also able to lead a team of Consultants, Developers and/or Solution Architects
- Provide experienced oversight and governance of Salesforce projects
- The SP has a billable utilization target of 80%
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and set and manage expectations
- Working autonomously with clients, translate business requirements into well architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform
- Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end states
- Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
- Assist in staffing Consultants on client projects, matching Consultant skills with client needs and supporting them in their career aspirations
- Demonstrate thought leadership through client presentations, publishing, and public speaking
- Share an experienced point of view during sales efforts to estimate the level of effort for technical solutions
- Build and develop relationships with Salesforce team and assist in sales pursuits
- Support recruiting and onboarding of new employees and development of leaders
Qualifications:
- 8 – 10 years of CRM-focused consulting experience, majority specifically with Salesforce
- Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and App Clouds
- Proven track record to craft and optimize business processes and integrate business processes across disparate systems
- Strong background in design/development of large web-based or client server systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
- Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, Informatica, Jitterbit, Mulesoft, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
- Awareness of programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform including Apex, VisualForce, and Lightning component framework
- Proficient VisualForce, Javascript, HTML design and development experience; JQuery, AngularJS development experience a plus
- Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills
- Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
