Job Description

Broadridge is hiring a Sr. Platform Engineer in our Newark, NJ location. You will drive the successful delivery of highly transparent, complex work in support of Enterprise wide strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• You will design architecture of Middleware & Container orchestration technologies on on-prem and Amazon Cloud.
• Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions and ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) is regularly maintained and released to production without any downtime
• You will increase the efficiency, reliability and performance of platform by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results
• Ensure that platform is maintained accurately by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance and system health.
• Assist development teams to migrate applications to Docker based PaaS platform
• Design and implement required failover mechanisms within the Docker/Kubernetes ecosystems
• Use automation tools like provisioning using Docker, Jenkins and GitLab.
• You will be involved in design and capacity review meetings to provide suggestion in Kubernetes Platform usage.
• You will build and maintain positive peer and client relationships
• Monitor, prevent and tackle security related issues.
• Provide strategic vision in engineering solutions that touch the messaging queue aspect of the infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java with implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA), enterprise application integration (EAI) and RESTful webservices.
• 5+ years of Hands-on experience on Mule (4) development and Anypoint Platform is must.
• Understand Business Requirements, perform impact analysis and assess technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcomes.
• Knowledge of MuleSoft recommended architecture process including system, process and experience APIs.
• Experience implementing APIs using APIed connectivity, API design fast approach using various MuleSoft product stack like Designer, Exchange, API gateway etc.
• Hands-on experience on designing Swagger 2.0/3.0 and RAML 1.0 specs using JSON & YAML languages.
• Build applications with core design principles of scalability, maintainability, security and the best coding practices.
• Extensively worked on Mule DataWeave component/functions to create mappings, transform, group and split data.
• Hands-on Experience in developing API with Munits, Exceptional handling and various mule core components.
• Test and improve performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability and resource usage.
• Integration specialist having real-time experience with multiple Mule connectors such as HTTP Listener/Requestor, Database, JMS, File, SFTP etc.
• Hands-on Experience in implementing out of box and custom policies using API gateway product
• Experience with CI/CD process using tools such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins, deployments and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Core Java with collections such as Maps, Lists, Sets and implemented objects.
• Working knowledge of on-premise infrastructure and RTF/Standalone deployments and configurations along with monitoring, management and alerting.
• Mentor onshore/offshore team members to design, develop, test, document and deploy robust integration solutions on Mulesoft Anypoint Platform.
