The Senior Business Analyst is a key member of the technology team, responsible for building innovative analytic solutions that measure and improve fundraising performance. This position collaborates closely with Trust business line leaders to define requirements and develop and deploy elegant data-driven solutions, including reports, presentations, interactive dashboards, and predictive models. The ideal candidate will become a trusted partner to leaders across the organization – able to understand the strategic objectives in each business area and develop effective analytic solutions that drive fundraising results.

This Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for:

• Partnering with business leaders/fundraisers to gather functional requirements and develop specifications for data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Designing and developing flexible and intuitive Tableau Dashboards that enable business leaders to assess performance and develop targeted strategic action plans.
• Implementing process improvements and process automation to streamline and optimize the production of ongoing analytic deliverables.
• Developing reports and presentations that summarize and communicate fundraising performance, highlight discoveries and insights, and adhere to data visualization best practices.
• Building and implementing predictive models that effectively use data to drive improvements in targeting, segmentation, and messaging.
• Creating appropriate test plans, Q/A processes, and test cases to ensure data accuracy.
• Leading facilitated discovery and user training sessions with business leaders/fundraisers to analyze data, explore performance, and uncover opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Documenting all analytic deliverables, including interactive dashboard user instructions.
• Presenting analytic findings and discoveries to staff through written reports and presentations.

To qualify, you must have:

• Bachelors Degree, preferably in a business or technical area.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business or Data Analyst with demonstrated experience in gathering customer requirements and designing and developing analytic solutions.
• A minimum of 2 -3 years of experience developing analytic dashboards/data visualizations, Tableau experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience in direct marketing or major giving performance analysis (preferred).
• Experience with predictive modeling and/or statistical analysis tools/languages (preferred).
• Proven ability to effectively communicate analytic discoveries and results to audiences at all job levels both in writing and through presentations.
• Strong quantitative/analytic skills and problem-solving abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of effective interactive dashboard design and data visualization best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage and lead multiple concurrent projects.
