The Salesforce Ventures team is the investing arm of salesforce.com which is created to invest in companies within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Role Description:
We are looking for a Sr. Manager that will manage projects end-to-end and lead change initiatives for the department. You will be a project manager for a wide variety of initiatives within the Salesforce Ventures team. This is a highly cross-functional role across the company and with external stakeholders. You will partner with multiple functions including accounting, treasury, tax, legal and other finance teams, to deliver accurate and meaningful performance updates, and business improvement insights. Further, you will help the team in an integral project that will require working with multiple internal and external stakeholders in arriving and executing on a project plan.

Your Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Own all aspects of a project, including project planning, scope definition, task planning, documentation, risk management, and progress reporting.
- Drive the project team to adhere to defined timing and deliverables.
- Work with department leadership to manage the prioritization and throughput of projects.
- Evangelize and drive the proper use of project management processes and tools by demonstrating value across the department and with stakeholders.
- Manage communications and status reporting to internal customers and stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption and deliver desired business outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with key business partners and any related parties
- Drive improved management reporting - work with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track the portfolio performance
- Drive existing management reporting – analyze portfolio results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management
Desired skills and experience:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in project management and/or change management
- 4+ years experience in fund accounting or background in the venture operations industry
- Strong executive presence and presentation skills experience presenting to senior-level leadership, various technical and non technical audiences and other key decision makers.
- Demonstrated ability and passion for dissecting/solving problems with a fact based, data driven, rigorous, and creative approach
- Manages multiple tasks, high visibility projects and timelines with a sense of urgency, ownership and within deadline in dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and have strong analytical skills
- Communicates in a clear, concise and timely manner and operates effectively as a team player
- Confident in managing and executing projects with cross-functionally with various stakeholders from start to finish
- Resourceful with a strong work ethic and are willing to go the extra mile to get work done
- Self-directed/driven with excellent organizational skills
- Must be comfortable with changing requirements and priorities
- Must be results oriented and ability to move forward without complete information
