Sr. Tableau/Visualization Developer

Job Description:

The Senior Visualization developer is responsible for the design, build, and deployment of the presentation layer component of the data integration solution. This component provides the user interface to the data warehouses, data marts and other products of the data integration effort. As the interface is highly visible to the enterprise, a person in this role must work closely with end users to gain a full understanding of their needs. The Visualization developer designs the application, ensuring that the end-user requirements gathered during the requirements definition phase are accurately met by the final build of the application. In most cases, the developer works with front-end UI development such as React or D3 JavaScript frameworks or Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau and others. To be most effective, the Presentation Layer Developer should be familiar with metadata concepts and the Data Warehouse/Data Mart data model.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with ends users and other stakeholders to define detailed requirements
• The ideal candidate is an experienced visualization developer with development experience in Visualization tool such as Tableau & JavaScript frameworks
• Developing and maintaining UI/UX wireframes and other design documents to communicate ideas
• Designs intuitive user interface solutions that meet user requirements for accessing and analyzing data either via web based or mobile based
• Works with the Architects to optimize reporting performance
• Develops supporting documentation for the application
• Mentors other developers in the team

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ Years of building visualization using Tableau or similar tools
• 5+ years of experience with data modelling in a data warehouse environment
• 3+ years’ experience working in AWS stack
• 2+ years of experience in developing modern frontend (NodeJS or other JavaScript frameworks such as React, D3. Js, HTML, CSS, jQuery etc.)

Critical Skills

• 3+ years’ experience working in AWS stack
• 2+ years of experience in developing modern frontend (NodeJS or other JavaScript frameworks such as React, D3. Js, HTML, CSS, jQuery etc.)
• Experience writing SQL, PL/SQL Scripts

• Good understanding of metadata concepts and the Data Warehouse/Data Mart model
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work with business and system owners to obtain requirements and manage expectations
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of Git and version control best practices
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Capable of expressing technical concepts in business terms

• Ability to work on tight deadlines and deliver on multiple parallel workstreams
• Knowledge of creating Progressive Web Apps
• Familiarity with authorization protocols such as OAuth and OpenID Connect
• Familiarity with CI/CD deployment of React based projects leveraging Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with React Native
• Experience with working in Healthcare domain

Education:

• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience
