Our client, one of the world's largest airlines, is seeking a Sr. Tableau Developer

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Position Type: Contract

Overview:

The Cybersecurity & Technology Risk Management department currently has a Sr. Tableau Developer opening. This position is geared to lead in development of new data mining methods, analytics and tools.

Essential Job Functions:

-Performs coding/programing

-Performs requirements gathering

-Develops and maintains advanced analytic models and processes

-Develops and maintains various reports, dashboards and visualizations

-Interfaces with IT to institutionalize new tools

-Trains others on new tools

-Assists with ad-hoc analysis as needed

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience:

-BS in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, related fields or equivalent experience/training

-Demonstrated aptitude for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-Ability to use computer-based tools and programming languages to implement solutions

-Extensive experience in Tableau development

Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience:

-Advanced degree (MS) in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics

-2+ years' experience in a technical professional environment

-Familiarity with the airline/travel industry

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:

-R or Python programming

-Alteryx data blending and Tableau data visualization

-Data Mining/Big Data concepts and tools

-Knowledge of classification, statistical and machine learning algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

-Ability to wrangle data from disparate sources into a comprehensive view of a business problem.

-Prior experience with recommender systems and/or text mining a plus.

-Ability to work very well with an operationally driven business unit in an agile fashion.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications:

-Advanced knowledge of programing languages, R, Python, SQL, HTML, Java Script, C#

-Advanced knowledge of Tableau Data visualization and Alteryx Data blending

Language & Communication Skills:

-Effective verbal and written communication skills

-Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization, including senior management
