What you'll be doing...

The Product Manager Intern does project work with Tableau over a summer or similar period in a topic area that is relevant to Tableau’s forward product interests and also relevant to the intern’s interests. The specific projects for the summer will be determined prior to the intern’s arrival, but the expectation is the work will be included as part of a shipping project within six months.

A few more things you'll be working on...

The Product Manager Intern will meet regularly with their Tableau supervisor and others involved in their work assignments. The Intern is expected to drive the project forward, since it will be their primary responsibility. Other duties will include:

• Responsible for product management for one or more areas of Tableau

• Active participant in product planning and roadmap definition

• Drive feature project definition and ensure cross-functional coordination (developers, testers, designers, management) toward successful delivery of the engineering projects

• Advocate for the product and be an evangelist of your features

• Oversee that all projects execute smoothly and effectively, recommend process improvements to increase engineering team efficiency and velocity.

Who you are...

• Rock Star Student. Undergrad or Master’s/MBA in computer science or a related field. Knowledge and skills in databases, visualization, and/or software development.

• A True Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, or teaching others and contributing to an environment that makes everyone on the team better together.
