Job Description

The W. P. Carey School of Business, Technology Services department is looking for a Systems Analyst Associate, Salesforce Support to work directly with members of the Technology Services team, internal partners, and other technology teams to provide support to clients and to W. P. Carey staff.

This position will provide expert advice and troubleshooting on one or more software products, administering and maintaining share-use systems, communicating with users and user groups on technology topics, providing instructions, and evaluating, recommending, and installing technological solutions to new problems or situations.

Essential Duties

Executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the Salesforce environment
Perform hands-on solution design, prototyping, and proof-of-concepts, as required in support of current and new projects
Conduct solution reviews with functional teams prior to design and development activities and ensures solution is scalable, aligned with internal product road maps and meets business requirements
Work on all phases of a project; requirements capture, development, testing, production support, etc.
Proficiency with multiple apps to import, export, update, and upsert data in the Salesforce environment
Communicate with stakeholders and end users to provide support
Manage the administration of Salesforce objects including user, account, lead, case, knowledge, chatter, opportunities and campaign
Develop and create customized modules, reports and dashboards
Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and related materials
Keep up to date with Salesforce releases, features and best practices and make recommendations to management regarding implementation as appropriate
Help to develop and maintain training materials and training curriculum

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; AND, One (1) year of information technology experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months experience.

Desired Qualifications

Evidence of a Salesforce.com Certification
Experience in Salesforce administration
Experience working with the Salesforce platform, including experience completing badges on Trailhead
Development experience using VisualForce, Apex controllers, SOQL, Triggers, Batch Apex, and other programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform is a plus
Experience in delivering the full software development life cycle with the Force.com platform
Experience with the Agile methodology
Experience in hands on design, prototyping, development, configurations, testing and other implementation activities
Demonstrated knowledge of Git and GitHub, or other version control systems
Experience in being detail-oriented with experience in documenting and providing updates on projects
Experience in troubleshooting skills with the experience in analyzing and resolving difficult problems quickly
Experience in learning new technologies
Experience in communicating technical concepts to other technical staff members as well as non-technical members of the School

Working Environment

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking; frequent physical demands may include stooping, bending, crawling under/around objects, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to 50 pounds; regularly required to work in cramped and enclosed areas and exposure to variations in temperature when deploying equipment.
