Job Description:

This position will primarily be responsible for supporting DHS Tableau implementation by providing overall site-level administration, maintaining security, reporting, and responding to customer s requests related to DHS COVID-19 response. Additionally, this role will facilitate Tableau site administration requests from internal DHS customers using the Tableau service.

Furthermore, this role will assist in supporting the environment in collaboration with the Department of Administration/Division of Enterprise Technology s technical staff and DHS stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and coordination of the implementation of the Tableau system for DHS during the COVID-19 response.

The DHS Tableau implementation and the associated charts, graphs, maps, and table data are critical to DHS COVID-19 response. Tableau supports all of the dynamic charts, graphs, tables, maps, etc. for the COVID-19 data on the DHS website in addition to supporting similar opioid publication information. As part of the State Emergency Operation Center, numerous internal and external staff have built processes and procedures to gather and present data dynamically via the Tableau system.

Required skills, knowledge and/or experience with the following include but are not limited to: Tableau site administration, security maintenance, and reporting. Designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases for data storage and data mining. Performing data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation. Developing processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and for ensuring reliability of information entered. Seek continuous improvement in performance of data warehouse and ensure security of data.

This is a career-Level position within the field. The position requires experience and proficiency in the discipline. Conducts complex work important to the organization. Works with minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. DHS is looking seeking someone with six to nine years of experience or equivalent education.
