UC San Diego Health is seeking an applicant for a Tableau and Data Governance Systems Administrator who will be responsible for administering data management environments and governance capabilities to make data actionable for UCSD Health and facilitating the transition for the enterprise into a data driven organization. This position will report to the Manager of Data Integration, and will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support for our Business Intelligence and Data Governance tools. This encompasses all application and operating system maintenance for the tools sets that support our business intelligence offerings at UCSD Health.

Systems Administration Requirements:

The Tableau and Data Governance Systems Administrator will function as the point person for maintaining the UCSD Health Data Governance tools, Confluence and Collibra as well as a supporting member of our Tableau administration team. Specific duties include: assessing the current state systems infrastructure and integrations. Taking direction from the Sr. Tableau Administrator and the Manager of Data Integration, the Tableau and Data Governance Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting all operating system and application maintenance.

Project Management Requirements:

The Tableau and Data Governance Systems Administrator will function as the technical project manager responsible for any projects related to systems administration for Tableau, Collibra, and Confluence for which they’re assigned. The individual will be responsible for reporting out on progress to ensure consistent and timely delivery on all assigned duties. Specific duties include but are not limited to developing and maintaining project plans, coordinating work with other team members, creating status reports, facilitating decisions, identifying and mitigating risks, collecting and interpreting data from various sources, presenting measure and program results to technical, clinical and operations executives, and managing evolving technical requirements.

Data Systems Analyst 3:

Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced data / information management professional with full understanding of industry practices and campus / medical center / OP and department methodologies, policies and procedures to resolve complex and wide ranging issues where analyses of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Three or more years of relevant experience in Windows Systems Administration, AWS Systems Administration, administering BI Platforms such as Tableau or SAP Business Objects and Collibra experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Collibra Ranger Certified.

  • Tableau Server Administration Certification.

  • Advanced level of project management or program management experience including administration of a project management platform.

  • Product management experience qualified at a minimum of leading a product through (2) releases.

  • Prior experience with managerial or supervisory duties including employee development.

  • Experience with developing and managing technology products including developing user profiles, requirements, experience testing, and product portfolio management.

  • Familiarity or experience with OMOP Common Data Model and/or Data Warehouse schemas, intermediate-advanced SQL coding, familiarity with views, automation, stored procedures, and/or SSIS.

  • Familiarity with Agile development, Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) , Product Development Life Cycles (PDLC), and waterfall implementation methodologies.

  • A high level of proficiency in SQL programming is required and experience in creating views, stored procedures/automation, and SSIS.

  • Knowledge, experience, and/or certification working with Epic data (Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle).
