Job Intro

We're looking for an experienced Tableau Developer to join the team on an initial 12 month contract. You'll be leading Tableau design with key business stakeholders and delivering hands on development. Location is flexible - we're happy to have someone working remotely, from London or from Cardiff - just let us know what works best for you.

What you'll be doing

The role is for a senior data analyst with strong analytical skills and specialism in data visualisation. The ideal candidate will be able to understand how to present data visualisations in the most appropriate way to deliver insightful analysis.

The candidate must have excellent Tableau desktop skills and have had experience of Tableau server administration is highly desirable. This role is a hands-on development role and the candidate must be comfortable in helping to drive and deliver organisational roll out of Tableau (or other BI tools)

The following would be key responsibilities for an individual working in the role:

A key individual in a FP&A Finance Data Zone project
Understand the reporting requirements as specified by the FP&A and business stakeholders.
Driving Tableau dashboard design and development
Driving self-serve environment through Tableau Server
Support and guide the implementation of data governance within Tableau.
Provide support and expertise across the team, support internal training of Tableau
What we're looking for

The following are considered to be essential skills and experience for an application for the role to be successful.

Must have experience with Tableau
Proficient data analytical skills plus experience and background in financial management information reporting.
Demonstrable data modelling, analysis and development skills
Business Analysis & Requirements gathering.
Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to efficiently structure and summarise information with great attention to detail
Self-discipline and proactivity in managing own workload, i.e. getting clarity on priorities, managing expectations, dealing with interruptions and obstacles
Experience of working as part of a virtual team and able to work well both as a team member and autonomously

Experience or exposure of the following technologies is desirable:

BI/Reporting Tools –Tableau
Relational databases – Microsoft SQL Server
ETL/ELT Tools – Alteryx
