Trigyn has an opportunity for Tableau Developer with our direct client in The Woodlands, TX. The particulars of the opportunity are below:

Description:
The Tableau Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and visualizations in Tableau. The consultant will be developing dashboards using the Tableau client application and those dashboards will then be published to Tableau server.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
To work closely with the senior developers to design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
To develop and modify SQL queries used to provide data to Tableau dashboards.
To contribute to the design of database tables that will store the data used by Tableau dashboards.
To learn and understand the underlying data and business processes that act as the source of data for Tableau dashboards.
To identify areas for improvement and work with the team to collaborate on better ways to add value to the business utilizing Tableau.
To support daily operations and ensure business reliability. This can involve after hours support if needed.
To coordinate on resolving issues across departments as needed.

Minimal Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in a technical area of study (computer science, information systems, engineering etc.) or equivalent experience
Experience creating and/or maintaining dashboards in Tableau.
Experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server. Experience should include a basic understanding of relational databases as well as basic proficiency in writing queries in either PL/SQL or T/SQL.
An understanding of Windows or Linux Based systems. Experience with one of them in a corporate environment.
At least 1 year of experience in a corporate environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience creating and/or maintaining dashboards in Tableau and at least 1 year of experience working with version 2019 or newer.
Experience with developing dashboards in the Tableau client and publishing them to Tableau server.
Experience with using data extracts and live connections in Tableau.
Experience working on load expressions, parameters, filters, calculations, cross-joins, blending, creating visualizations.
Experience working with files/tables/custom query sources.
3 to 5 years of experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server. Experience should include a solid understanding of relational databases as well as a high level of proficiency in writing queries in either PL/SQL or T/SQL.
Exposure to energy/commodities trading
Experience with Amazon Web Services in general and Amazon Redshift specifically.
