Job Title: Tableau Developer

Location: Whippany NJ

Employment Type: Full time with benefits

Job Responsibilities
  • Takes ownership of projects pertaining to data visualizations in Tableau, visualizing and producing reports or articles of labor market information and their trends/shifts in the economy, using a wide range of data sources
  • Maintains baseline understanding of data systems and assists with pulling data to be used in visualizations and reports
  • Works with Director and other executive staff to create technical solutions to business needs by effectively understanding and translating requirements
  • Conducts thorough research, fact-finding and analysis when developing new visualizations or reports from outside divisions
  • Sees projects through to completion including strategizing, ideation, design, and testing
  • Stays current with developments and best practices in data visualization community
  • May assist lead Database Administrator with database analysis, database querying, and ETL processes necessary to meet data visualization requirements.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Tableau and other business intelligence tools
  • Familiarity with basic SQL querying and processing preferred
  • Ability to plan and schedule activities to meet deliverable submission deadlines and to track progress toward benchmark goals
  • Ability to analyze other staff’s visualization needs, use sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions, find alternative solutions to complex problems, and distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgments
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data and information while maintaining data integrity and upholding privacy standards.
