Job Description Job Title: Tableau Developer Job Number: 08052020BI Job Location: New York, NY Job Type: Contract 6+ months A global bank is seeking a Tableau Developer to design, develop and integrate functional dashboard systems using Tableau Desktop and Server to enable easy interpretation of transactional data, client data, KPI and Data Quality metrics. Responsibilities Design, develop and integrate functional dashboard systems using Tableau Desktop and Server to enable easy interpretation of transactional data, client data, KPI and Data Quality metrics. Establish workflows processing to ensure data is refreshed and available in a timely manner via the use of Informatica ETL. Provide expertise developing Tableau code that provides predictive results from analytical trending and modeling including those around data quality. Establish standard methodologies for data assessment and interpretation across multiple dashboards to ensure consistent information representation. Develop, maintain and continually enhance a strategy around large data volume management within the department tools. Develop and maintain data integration solutions using Informatica powercenter that connect heterogeneous databases, web sources, XML sources, Microsoft SharePoint and Salesforce. Partner with the security team to develop standards for securing developed applications and access segregation where required. Participate in design reviews of prototypes, and applications ready for production. Develop a solution/framework for provisioning data for consumption by business users who create reports and those who are purely consumers. Develop Tableau dashboards with slice and dice, drill down and rollup capabilities. Also develop reports using data blending and data linking capabilities. Develop reporting out of Tableau dashboard in PDF, and create pre canned report for Tableau based on the data contained in the dahsboards. Develop data quality reports and metrics using Informatica data quality tool. Maintain existing IT infrastructure and optimize/streamline informational flows and visualization. Collaborate with various functional teams to achieve required business results Requirements Ability to write complex SQL statements in SQL server. Perform Joins, filters, subqueries using SQL. Ability to make database calls in Python and Power shell scripts. Ability to parse and process data from multiple formats (e.g. XML, JSON, CSV, HTML, Structured Text, Flat Files, etc.) Familiarity with RegEx a plus Experience with web scraping. Expertise in at least one General purpose programming language (Python = a plus) Familiarity with object-oriented programming design. Familiarity with Django, JavaScript, Rest APIs, Workflow applications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and/or at least seven (7) or more years experience in implementing technologies and/or vendor platforms to service the business needs. Requires extensive knowledge and experience in all facets of software development, IT operations, decision-making, strong judgment, management skills and a considerable aptitude in human relations. Prior experience in Banking / Financial industry Demonstrated experience with IT development, system design & integration and data analysis Ability to independently manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities; Ensure functionality of product meets with business requirements and expectations. Well-developed research and analytical skills with good problem solving and lateral thinking ability; Analysis of existing applications to identify weakness and develop opportunities for improvements Team-oriented, must be self-motivated, plan and manage time effectively, and be customer focused Flexible and adaptable to new environments. Ability to quickly learn new systems, products and businesses; Proactive and result-oriented Experience with SQL scripting (Oracle, MS SQL) Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
