YETI's Tableau platform team acts as a center of excellence for several analytic teams throughout YETI business units. Leveraging customer specifications, the Tableau Developer will design and build data visualizations that allow stakeholders to understand information for business decisions and identify emerging trends, patterns, and relationships. The Tableau Developer will also organize, maintain, and administrate YETI's Tableau environment to keep users informed and streamline data analytics company-wide.

Responsibilities:

• Create, prototype, modify, test and deploy reports to production while working closely with the end users
• Understand data needs and translate user requirements into technical requirements
• Analyze customer requests for data needs and prioritize project and ad-hoc efforts
• Assist the data engineering team to design data models for optimized Tableau Reporting
• Manage Tableau security groups and role level security within Tableau Online and reporting
• Maintain Tableau Online report environment, monitor usage, schedule data extracts, and provide new user training for the business analytic groups
• Investigate and resolve technical issues within the BI Environment and ETL processes

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Bachelors degree in IT, Business, Data Analysis or related field
• 4+ years work experience in data analysis and reporting, working directly with business customers, understanding their requirements and recommending solutions
• 2+ years with Tableau, SQL, Enterprise Data Warehouses, and other data visualization technologies
• Experience in developing and publishing Tableau reports to server
• Knowledge in data visualization best practices
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery, or similar Cloud Database Platforms
• Capability to discover data lineage in reporting and decode SQL/calculations
• Experience working collaboratively with data engineers and source system subject matter experts
• Ability to work iteratively and convert business requirements into quick prototypes with different visualization options
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and overlapping timelines
• Experience administrating Tableau Online or Server preferred
