Tableau Developer - The Role:

This role will suit a candidate with strong front-end focused skills, exceptional communication & interpersonal skills and someone keen to focus their role within Tableau Dashboard Developing specifically.

The chosen candidate will form part of the Data Analytics team tasked with creating KPI's, dashboards and various analytical reports, while also analysing data and providing information to end users for better business decisions.

Tableau Developer - Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the team to establish and reinforce disciplined software development, processes, standards, and error recovery procedures are deployed; ensuring a high degree of data quality

- Creates effective Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and analytical dashboards / analytical tools for business users in Tableau

- Build and publish customized interactive Tableau reports and dashboards along with data refresh scheduling using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online

- Create Tableau Scorecards, Dashboards using stack bars, bar graphs, scattered plots, geographical maps, line/pie graphs, and Gantt charts

- Perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)

- Effectively utilizes features and Best Practices of Tableau and visual analytics to maximize impact and utility of visualization products

Tableau Developer - You:

- Familiarity with Tableau Desktop / Online Tableau

- Working knowledge of any reporting/analytical platforms such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, etc

- Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivots, Macros)

- Experience in Statistical Analysis

- Analytical skills with good attention to detail

- Contribute effectively to achieve SMART targets set by management

- Good communication skills

- Excellent knowledge of relational/non-relational Database and Data warehouse concepts and technologies

- SQL and PostgreSQL skills

- Proven ability to be part of a team but a strong self-starter and motivator

- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM system and/or Omnipay processing platform will be considered an asset

- Experience in SQL scripting will be considered an asset

- Knowledge of data design and modelling

- Fantastic communicator at all levels

- Passionate about data visualization

- Examples of work created essential - to demonstrate interest, passion, own community engagement & knowledge (Dashboards, Reports, Infographics etc.)

- Ability to perform training, mentorship and stewardship

- Good analysis background
