Job Description:
Tableau Developer, Architect & Jira Expert is both a "doer” and "leader” as this person is responsible for utilizing Tableau, Jira and Confluence to provide reporting that can be used to improve the effectiveness of the agile development process for the client.
Key responsibilities & Deliverables:
Tableau Dashboards / Reporting: Create and implement dashboards and reports (using Jira & Confluence data) that creatively meet the needs of stakeholders, e.g., agile development teams, quality assurance teams, and executive leadership. NOTE: Data is predominately from Jira & Confluence (cloud version), and sometimes requires data from Rally & Remedy (from behind Comcast firewall).
Tableau Roadmap: Determine a clear strategy and roadmap for how to fully utilize and optimize Tableau with a thorough plan that defines: vision, mission, goals, objectives, prioritizes a work schedule.
Tableau Optimization: Optimize the way we use Tableau by developing solutions to improve the effectiveness of the agile development process.

Tableau Architecture & Business Continuity:
 
Have a clear understanding of the Tableau Architecture, and facilitate optimization for performance. Document & maintain: Tableau architecture, Tableau disaster recovery and business continuity plans 5. Tableau Requests for Work:
Develop, implement and maintain a process to manage and prioritize the intake of Tableau requests for work (RFW) using Jira Tickets. Design an RFW that includes asking the requester how the Tableau Dashboard / Report is going to be used – goal is to ensure that we are developing Tableau Dashboard / Reports that actually will be used.
Tableau Continual Improvement:
 
Regular review of existing Tableau Dashboard / Reports with original requesters to determine whether they are: still in use, needs have changed and reports should be revamped or retired.
Communication: Regular communication with your Comcast supervisor and chain of command to ensure that you are on the "same page” as it relates to expectations.
Agile: Create and implement Tableau dashboards and reports using agile: define & document requirements and design; develop; create and execute test cases/scripts; review with requester prior to implementation; obtain requester approval that requirements were satisfied.
Keep the lights on: As a backup to our current Jira Administrator, perform those Jira Admin activities needed to keep Jira up and running in support of 2,000 users, e.g., set-up, administration, maintenance, upgrade, and technical support.


 
 
Requirements:
 

• Tableau development experience using Jira data
• Hands-on expertise with Jira
• Experience with agile software development process
• High proficiency with Jira and Confluence
• Work with Jira Plug-Ins
• Work with & Customize Reporting in Jira
• Develop Solutions & Carry Ot Diagnosis in a customized Jira instance
• Proficient in SQL, Jira (JQL) programming languages
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence systems; Experience with Alteryx (Data Analytics Platform) is a HUGE PLUS BUT  NOT a must.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Leader, Self-Starter, Ability to work with little direction
• Experience in working with Executive Leadership.
