Vector's Client in Arlington, VA is seeking a Technical Salesforce Architect for a Direct Hire role!
Our client, a leading Salesforce.com ISV (Independent Software Vendor) for Events Management and Membership. We are a product company that develops highly configurable membership, events, and eCommerce products, native to Salesforce, that can easily scale and quickly integrate with other business solutions.
As part of the Product team, you will evolve our Client's existing products to reflect a localized microservice architecture within Salesforce orgs, rationalize our existing managed package environment to improve development speed and simplify processes, and drive best practices on the use of Salesforce Lightning, LWC, and Lightning Communities. The Salesforce Architect will be responsible for highlighting new and existing Salesforce features that would improve our offerings and identify how they can be directly leveraged in our Client's products effectively. They will also stay "ahead of the curve” in terms of keeping abreast of Salesforce product direction and working to ensure that our plans line up to take full advantage of these new capabilities. The ideal candidate will be bright, dynamic, and will possess superior verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Responsibilities Of The Salesforce Technical Architect Include
  • Translate requirements into development needs, architect solution, and develop logic
  • Maintain our Salesforce.com code-base, constantly finding areas to be improved to enhance user experience and re-factored to minimize technical debt
  • Collaborate with other groups to build integrations and adopt the best engineering standards as well as helping establish best practices for the systems team
  • Introduce standard methodologies and lead improvements to keep Client applications current while always achieving better security, performance, and maintainability
  • Work with Sales, Support, Product and other groups to identify areas of improvement and architect technical solutions
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, IT, Information Systems, or similar field.
  • 6+ years of Salesforce experience in programming APEX APIs, APEX triggers, APEX web services and Lightning UI including Aura and LWC.
  • 10 years of experience in object-oriented design and programming in an object-oriented programming language like Java, C# or C++.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Lightning Community and related data security and licensing models
  • Experience building custom Lightning applications
  • Using Force.com APIs including Metadata API, SOAP API, REST API, Tooling API.
  • Experience with current Salesforce technologies such as Change Data Capture, Einstein Prediction Builder, and Platform Cache with an eye toward Evergreen Serverless Functions.
  • Knowledge of enterprise application architecture patterns and how to apply them
  • Knowledge and experience applying safe refactoring techniques in APEX and JavaScript code
  • Platform Developer II certification required, Technical Architect Certifications a plus

  • Prior mentoring and team leading experience
  • Experience working in a similar architectural leadership position
  • Experience developing managed packages as part of the Salesforce ISV Partner Program
  • Highly flexible with excellent collaboration and prioritization skills
  • Real passion for software development and technology
  • Salesforce System and Application Architect certifications
  • Background in Association Management or Events
  • Experience in designing and developing modern web applications using Node.js, Java Spring Boot, or ASP.NET Core with component-based front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or VueJS.
