Role: Telecom Engineer 

Requirements:  

• 5-10 years of field experience with design engineering and implementation of LAN/ WAN, Router/ Switch IP Telephony data networks with demonstrable experience in VoIP solutions.  
• Experience in working with Industry standards Virtualization, Cloud Technologies, Unified Communications, Mobility, Wireless networks, and Video collaboration would be an asset.  
• Assist in the development of Customer training documents for installations, Interface with business partners to identify issues, provide input, and feedback on field trials of new patches and releases.  
• Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.  
• Understanding of protocols, such as, SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, S/FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SIP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP  
• Experience in networking concepts and services, such as VPN and TCP/IP  
• Handle routine tasks relating to telephony operations, support, service, installation, and maintenance for local, off-site, and remote.
• Candidates must have a minimum certification of CCNA and experience with Microsoft Technologies such as Skype for Business and Windows Server 2012/2016.  
• Mitel experience, Firewall, and VMware knowledge is a plus.  
• IP Telephony or VoIP routing experience is an Asset.  

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility required in dealing with our clients and internal support groups.  

Other Requirements:

• Must have good communication skills, be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and be adaptable to change. Have excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as good decision-making/problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a strong customer focus.
• Have a good understanding of TCP/IP, networks, VOIP, QOS, wireless, and broadband.
