Role: Data Operations Engineer

Description:

Data Engineering team is looking for talented data engineers with an eye to detail and dynamic. Data Engineering team is responsible for building and managing data platforms and its operations. Provides data processing, reporting and data sets required for business teams and downstream systems.

Location:

Remote for time being. BANGALORE - post pandemic.

Experience and Skills required:

-         Provide high quality data services to internal and external stakeholders and systems

-         Use technical skills to ensure the accuracy of large analytical data sets, automate processes with scripts and efficiently query information from a vast database.

-         Investigate and resolve complex and intricate issues and perform adhoc analysis of large data sets while meeting timelines

-         Ensure timely processing of data and completion, follow up with upstream incase of delays and point of contacts incase of any issues and drive for resolution

-         Monitor data pipelines and models execution, ensure SLA are met and perform RCA of issues encountered

-         Perform triaging of job failures, identify cause of failure and fixes required and working with various teams and stakeholders involved

-         Participate in processes focusing on data-integrity and workflow solutions to support the data operations.

-         Make recommendations to processes to improve customer experience and team efficiency

-         Attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Key Skills required:

·        Typically 1-3 years of experience in Data Operations assistant/Operation Coordinator role, Analyst role preferred.

·        L1/L2/L3 support for ETL and ELT flows in DataIKU, Databricks mandatory) and other ETL tools (nice to have)

·        Experience of managing tickets, triaging of job failures and performing RCA

·        Good Analytical bent of mind, detail-oriented.

·        Experience in SQL, ETL tools like Databrikcs, DataIKU, Python

·        Experience in trouble shooting and triaging issues

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related discipline.
