Job description:

Automation architect is a key role within DevSecOps Automation Enablement team, having responsibilities to facilitate the adoption of a standard Development toolset as well as standard architecture patterns for onboarding applications onto Cloud.

 Essential Technical Skills:

1. Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts (IAC)
2. Knowledge of Cloud Technology basics across CSPs – Amazon, Microsoft, and Google
3. Knowledge and implementation experience of DevOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps concepts
4. Good level of understanding of Architecture principles, design methodologies and their applicability
5. Ability to work in an Enterprise organization and be able to communicate with senior members of Dev, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams as needed.
6. Hands-on experience of the following:
   1. HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language)
   2. Deploying Terraform Configurations using CLI and the Console
   3. Deploying and maintaining AWS Services using Terraform resources and plans
   4. Navigating Terraform Workflow, including Terraform State concepts
   5. Interacting with Terraform Modules
   6. Understanding and usage of Terraform Cloud Capabilities including multi-cloud deployment
   7. Tracking and releasing Cloud resources using Terraform (Clean Up)
7. Monitoring and optimizing resources for Cost and performance

Essential Experience:

1. 5+ years of experience in Programming (see preferred languages above)
2. 3+ years of experience in cloud Automation across various Technologies
3. 3+ years of experience in working at an Enterprise organisation implementing large scale, niche, end-to-end, advanced technology solutions
4. 3+ years of hands-on experience across Cloud Services, SDLC Tools, specifically Testing & CI/CD tools – Open-Source or Commercial.
