Role: DevOps Consultant

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 4+ -6 Years

Job Description:

• Good grasp of the fundamentals: Unix command-line, file-system etc. and networking
• Appreciation of modern software development: Source-control (Git, GitHub, Gerrit etc.), branching (Gitflow), build-tools (Maven) and continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins)
• Comprehension of how quality is achieved via testing frameworks for both functional (Cucumber etc.) and non-functional (Security, Performance, etc.) requirements
• Desire to automate, be that via system-scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.) or application-DSLs (Groovy pipelines, Ruby Puppet/Chef, etc.)
• Understand virtualization in this context or services and machines with technologies in the IaaS/PaaS space including Docker

Also, you’ll require some “soft-skills”:

• Ideally having worked in a cross-functional, Agile team, and understand the Lean approach
• Being a corporate environment, you’ll appreciate that whilst the core problems might be technical, how they are solved is collaborative and breaking-down of silos is essential
• Team player, personable and driven, you’ll play an active part within the team, and within the wider client and corporate structures
• Have a desire to learn and keep up with new technologies that transcends current crazes and trendy tools or frameworks

Must have:

Unix, Shell Programming, Phyton, Ruby Puppet/Chef, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Docker, Sonar, Cloud Computing
