Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Experience: IT - 5+ years, DevOps Engineer – Minimum 3 years

Requirements:
Candidate must have hands-on experience on the following technologies:

1. Jenkins: what it is, how it is configured, how to create jobs etc. We use Jenkins for continuous integration and the majority of the BAU tasks involve Jenkins troubleshooting, therefore some knowledge of Jenkins is required. A solid grasp of the concept of CI and practical experience of other CI tools (Teamcity, GitLabCI, ...) can be beneficial
2. Maven and/or npm : Related to the previous point is some practical experience of some build technology, and experience in troubleshooting issues
3. Scripting skills in the automation domain: we need somebody with some scripting and/or programming skills. Ideally well versed in python and groovy, as we use python for tooling and groovy for Jenkins and Nexus configuration.
4. Git: a strong knowledge of how git works is required

Desired Skills (Optional):

1. Experience in using groovy to manage Jenkins configuration and Jenkins job definitions as code with JobDSL
2. Hands on knowledge of container and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes
3. Experience in the setup, configuration and maintenance of developer support tools such as Binary Management tools (Nexus, Artifactory, Archiva, ...), Static analysis tools (Sonar, ...), Web Servers and Proxy servers (Apache, Nginx, ...)
4. Configuration Management: the candidate should be familiar with the concepts of Configuration Management and Configuration as Code; ideally with experience in at least a configuration management tool (Ideally Ansible).
5. Cloud: hands on experience with Cloud services is a plus
