Job description:

1. We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Senior Information Architect to join the IT Architecture team.
2. You will work within the existing Information Architecture practice on a variety of IT projects within our portfolio.
3. The role requires a drive to ensure that the projects create appropriate data designs that are aligned to our overall Data Strategy, Architectural Principles and deliver value for money.
4. As a Senior Information Architect, you will: Work with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects and Business Architects to ensure project solutions are robust and meet architectural standards.
5. Create and contribute to project architectural designs, patterns and key decisions and progress them through appropriate business and IT governance processes.
6. This will involve presenting at appropriate governance forums.
7. Where relevant create data models, data catalogues, integration catalogues and data migration strategies to support the project requirements
8. Work with related projects and programmes to ensure deliverables are consistent across projects and that dependencies and interrelationships are identified.
9. Fulfil an assurance role on deliverables arising from other projects by acting as reviewer for significant project deliverables where relevant
10. Build relationships with IT / Business SMEs and stakeholders to ensure that Information and Data Designs are understood and any required business change to support data standards and policies are accepted.
11. Work with the Group Data Office to identify data quality improvements and to ensure the project meets business data governance requirements.
12. Contribute to the necessary roadmaps, standards and policies designs to manage or exploit our data Promote the aims of the Corporate Data Strategy within IT Projects.
13. Be able to describe the need for projects to align with the goals and standards of the Corporate Data Strategy and why this will provide overall benefit. 

Requirement:

1. Data design and modelling experience across a number of domains
2. Able to design data solutions to align with standards and the overall data strategy
3. Experience of data migration and data migration strategies
4. Able to investigate complex data landscapes to understand the flow and use of data
5. Familiarity with Data Modelling tools
6. Able to operate in both a waterfall and agile development environment
7. Works well with a range of stakeholders and is able to describe solutions to varied audience
