Job Requirements:

 Must be strong in design and modelling approaches with OOAD, Service Oriented Design

approach, UML modelling techniques, Database design and refinement

 Knowledge of OS concepts / internals and experience in system-level programming

 Should have developed an enterprise/academic product out of the Moodle vanilla base

 Hard core programming expertise in Moodle LMS customization from version 2.X or above

 Should have expertise and experience in the creation of ground-up new Moodle

features/modules/plugins

 Should have experience and expertise in detailed customization existing Moodle

features/modules

 Should have experience and expertise in integration with other external database/applications

(like SAP/PeopleSoft) and also third party social plugins

 Proven expertise in core PHP, MySQL/MSSQL, IIS/Apache and ability to foresee, plan and mitigate performance issues on these technologies

 Should have experience in handling large scale Moodle implementation of 10000 user base

 Have solid understanding on the hardware/network setup where Moodle is installed and ability

to monitor/resolve performance issues in sync with application features

 Experience in migrating from old version of Moodle systems to the current systems will be

advantageous

Ideal person should have experience in designing and maintaining large standalone/client-server

based / centralized and / or complex distributed systems. He/She should have the ability to perform in-depth analysis of the requirements specifications, modelling the solution with a right choice of tools and technologies in the enterprise software arena, formulating the system & life-cycle specification documents, and module-level break-ups of the proposed solutions.

Technical Skills required:

 Moodle v2 or higher development experience 

 3+ years development experience (ideal 3 - 5 years)

 HTML5, PHP, with desire to learn other languages

 SOAP, Rest and XML RPC APIs

 Familiarity with the LAMP/WAMP/Microsoft stack

 Data management using MSSQL, MySql, No Sql db

 Java Script / JQuery/ AJAX / AngularJS

 Reasonable knowledge of XHTML and CSS
