Role: Pentaho Developer

Location: Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai

Requirement:

1. 4 to 7 years’ experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho, Informatica and Datastage.
2. 4 to 7 years’ experience of Oracle Database PL/SQL development required.
3. At least 2 years of experience with ETL tool Pentaho(Kettle) Pentaho admin experience would be plus
4. Knowledge of big data platform/Vertica would be plus
5. Data warehousing experience preferred Experience of working with development of complex large scale systems required Superb ownership mindset, strong work ethics, a habit of excellence experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
6. Job holder must have an understanding of interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans
7. S/he must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies
8. Extensive experience with developing and supporting backend environment required
9. Job holder must have broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits

Role Description:

1. The qualified candidate will have strong experience as an Pentaho(Kettle) and PL/SQL developer with experience working on large scale distributed systems backed by large data sets
2. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience managing large sets of data
3. The Pentaho ETL/PL-SQL developer will provide support in all aspects of data movement for a data warehouse environment
4. Design/Develop/code end to end technology solutions including batch process, calculation engine, database modeling, testing and process automation
5. Interact with business users and understand enterprise risk business requirements, and analyze and come up with optimal technology solutions to business requirements
6. Work closely with offshore team to deliver projects on time and in a high quality manner Conduct system analysis and work estimate for new tasks
7. Write high level and low level design documents
8. Conduct peer code review
9. Collaborate with other internal or external teams on projects such as sourcing data feed
