Job Description: QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product Management & Development to test new features & functionality as they're being developed
• Reproduce bugs and other issues and uncover problems and/or defects before releases.
• Write and execute data-centric tests cases to validate data (Storage sub-system)
• Design, develop and maintain Test automation suite and infrastructure as needed
• Automate tests using test frameworks
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver a high-quality data product
• Maintain a good production proof test environment
• Troubleshoot critical defects in software
• Design and develop Integration, Performance, Scalability, and Stress tests using industry standards tools.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, hardworking with “can do” attitude, and eager to success in startup environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of automation testing with a focus on backend testing and data experience
• Strong Python skills (Object-Oriented Design)
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and NoSQL a strong plus
• Experience with big data technologies such as Elastic Search, Hadoop, Cloudera and HIVE a plus
• Good working knowledge of unix systems and strong shell scripting
• Good experience with black box/white box testing
• Experience writing clear and concise bug reports, test plans and test cases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
