Role: SAP Authorization Specialist

Job description:

AP S/4 Hana and Fiori:
Fiori Launchpad and Administration:

1. Create Tiles/Catalogues/groups
2. Good understanding of Fiori concept
3. Strong SAP Trace analysis
4. Strong Basis authorization Object knowledge
5. Strong Excel skills (formula’s)
6. SAP Role creation with tiles/catalogues and auth. requirements
7. SAP Authorisations Applications Operations

Details of Main Tasks:

1. Applications operations support for Authorisations
2. Providing 1st level support to users; adhering to documented processes
3. Providing 2nd level support to processes wheredocumented
4. Recording, routing and monitoring all reported incidents using ITSM to the BMW incident management process
5. Liaising with other fix groups and other plant based or central support organisations within BMW
6. Taking ownership of incidents reported by users, through to resolution
7. Adhering to documented Company escalation processes
8. In the course of normal duties, identify and report discrepancies in documented processes
9. Manage general queries in a timely and professional manner
10. Recording ALL incidents using the company's standard toolset
11. Liaise with development/team leads on user’s access requirements, new transactions, role creation etc.
12. Enforce SAP security and SAP development guidelines.
13. Provision of technical security and authorisations
14. support and guidance to both the business and the SAP systems
15. Delivering security and authorisations support for new project releases.
16. Responsible for ensuring prompt resolution of security and authorisations incidents
17. Provide support to user departments in achieving the approved company authorisation objectives
18. Ensure user and role creation is done in accordance with company's standards and guidelines
19. Provide user support in understanding processes related to SAP Authorisation.
20. Responsible for ensuring SAP security compliance to internal controls and good practice implementation in SAP authorisation policies to mitigate business risk.
21. Ensure that agreed company policies and procedures are adhered to.
22. Ensure user appreciation of the principles of system development
23. Ensure that team members adhere to the IT Application methodology and standards
24. Share knowledge and business process with team members to ensure that handover of tasks is a simple and effective one.
25. Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes
26. Support the functional team with issues and provide a solutions-based approach

Generic Technical / Functional skills:

1. Role design and Build (Role changes/new roles (single and Composite)
2. 2nd Line Support
3. All IBV Functionality (Specific tool)
4. Transports - CHARM Solution Manager/Focus Build)
5. GRC Analysis
6. ITSM change ticket creation
7. JIRA/Confluence

Specific Technical / Functional skills:

1. SAP Authorization in all modules
2. At least 5 years analyst experience
3. At least 2 years Fiori Launchpad experience
4. MS office products (Strong Excel Skills required)
5. Proven experience roles design, and support within a SAP environment

Soft skills:

1. Ability to work as part of a team
2. Good communications skills
3. Ability to work under pressure
4. Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
5. Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts through to proposal and successful implementation
