Overview:

The Configuration Management developer is responsible for designing, configuring, developing,

troubleshooting the ServiceNow CMDB platform, and maintaining configuration of code as it pertains to

the CMDB. The developer works across applications, delivers new functionality and innovative solutions,

and supports the entire development lifecycle. The developer has an extensive software development

background that will be enhanced by ServiceNow System Administration, and Scripting in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures: design; development; implementation; operation
2. Work to fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests as assigned
3. Engage with strategic projects to ensure Configuration Management can deliver required functionality within project timeframes
4. Document approved changes to the system, component, or service and the potential security impacts of such changes
5. Run and deliver reports as required
6. Document, manage, and control the integrity of changes to organization-defined configuration items under configuration management
7. Identify and report non-compliance situations & perform Configuration Management audits as directed
8. Track security flaws and flaw resolution within the system, component, or service and report findings to organization-defined personnel
9. Identify Service Improvement opportunities

Skills and Experience:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Self-motivated and able to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing challenges
3. Experienced in effectively coordinating multiple initiatives and working with conflicting priorities in a fast- paced environment
4. Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, efficiently and within a pre-determined time frame
5. Flexible to work in a constantly changing, high-pressure environment
6. Ability to build effective relationships with a range of team members, stakeholders, partners, and business users
7. Basic knowledge of Javascript, HTML and CSS
8. Experience with ServiceNow APIs, web services/plugins of enterprise software systems
9. Knowledge of SLA configuration and remediation
10. Experience in creating reports and dashboards
11. Displays a sense of ownership and exhibits flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness.
12. Strong knowledge of ITSM tools
13. Experience with CDMB, Discovery, Asset Management
14. 3-5 years of ServiceNow development experience (required)
15. ServiceNow System Administrator certification (required)
16. ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification (preferred)
17. Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances into
18. production.
19. Applicants should be willing to support global product deployments, working across different time zones.
20. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline required.
21. Experience supporting ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
22. Experience with ServiceNow System Administration
23. Practical experience utilizing latest web standards and design practices
24. Experience as a System Administrator of a service management application
25. Experience developing test scripts and plans
26. Domain admin type system administration experience
27. Experience with LDAP/AD, networking and database is desired
28. Experience working on an agile team
29. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline required.
