The Activities of the Release Manager are as follows:

• Participate in daily scrum meeting and any other meetings, as applicable or planned by Volvo Car.
• Track day to day tasks thru Azure DevOps application.
• Define release readiness criteria and ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deployment.
• Work with Tech lead/ Developer(s) to properly resolve merge conflicts, deployment errors and meet code coverage criteria.
• Define and manage change control process for development, where quality is ensured in a fast-paced & iterative environment.
• Monitor & relay info. on Production certificates expiration, Salesforce critical updates on 60 – 90 days cadence & installation/ upgrade to approved AppExchange Products to ensure application is secure & always perform at optimum level.
• Facilitate Release activities calendar for Salesforce.com platform. Manage & track Instance refreshes planned for the CY. Own Azure DevOps in terms of best practices, branching, version control & conflict mgmt.
• Overall responsibility of Salesforce.com Application delivery, release and deployment to production
• Facilitate workshops and participate in meetings for Project Releases, Critical Updates
• Partner and support business teams with future release roadmap related activities
• Partner in new initiatives and work closely with Volvo Car SME(s)
• Manage packaging of softwares for deployment and/or upgradation
• Assist in release and Sprint planning activities; participate in daily stand up calls/meetings
• Plan and strategize on Salesforce quarterly releases / upgrades
• Work with Development Leads to maintain overall Salesforce platform health with specialized tools
• Helping teams with source code management and creation of pull requests
• Follow customer best practices and ensure adherence to quality processes
• To work with business on high priority, time critical business exigencies highlighted by various business teams related to deployment; support application build, test, and deploy activities
• Handling  ad hoc hot fix requests as per business requirement
